Today, we are recruiting for an AFC Site Manager to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
Monitor the progress of civil construction works at the site (Package 1) and ensure their proper handover to Siemens Mobility before the commencement of AFC system installation. Coordinate with the Project Delivery Team to provide accurate forecasts of site readiness for AFC installation. Ensure that the AFC installation is completed on time and within budget. Coordinate the activities of the AFC installation and commissioning teams on site. Liaise with site supervisors regarding daily activities and ensure accurate reporting. Support regular schedule updates by providing inputs from on-site activities. Monitor and control all materials required for installation. Serve as the on-site interface for the customer and external suppliers. Coordinate with the Quality Manager (QMiP) to ensure technically sound and cost-effective execution of assembly and commissioning work. Analyze site disruptions and determine corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, even in the presence of conflicting interests. Track commissioning deadlines, coordinate them with the Project Manager, and ensure compliance. Adhere to the AFC installation method statement and ensure compliance with HSE regulations on construction sites. Support contract and claim management teams from the site and monitor quantity surveying activities related to the scope of delivery.What do I need to qualify for this job?
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication, Civil Engineering, or any equivalent field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Installation Management position. Preferably, previous experience in the installation or maintenance of Automatic Fare Collection systems, ideally in an international environment involving extended stays abroad. Proven experience in managing and coordinating multiple teams. A background in the railway industry is a plus. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English. Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment with conflicting priorities and minimal supervision. Willingness and ability to work across various project sites of the High-Speed Rail Project in Egypt (e.g., October Gardens, New Capital, etc.).What else do I need to know?
