Job Summary 

As a Production Technician I within the Electric Power Division, you will support the modernization and retrofit of automated switchgear control systems. This role involves component layout, panel assembly, mounting, labeling, and wiring for various system types. You will work closely with Power System Engineers and use production drawings to implement updates, ensure quality, and support logistics. 

 

What You Will Do 

Perform component layout, panel assembly, labeling, and wiring for various installations of automated switchgear control systems 

Install sub-panels, door plates, doors, cabinets, low/medium voltage switchgear, and simulator racks 

Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, automation/control schematics, and assembly drawings 

Support inventory, repackaging, ship prep, and other production logistics 

Use hand/power tools, wire labelers, and test equipment (multimeters, Dobles, test carts) 

Perform point-to-point verification of wiring 

Maintain Advanced Electrical Services (AES) work area organization and cleanliness 

Comply with facility safety procedures and PPE requirements 

 

What You Will Have 

3+ years of relevant experience in electrical, automation, or production environments 

hands-on experience with wiring and component installation 

Skilled with tools and test equipment used in automation wiring and diagnostics 

Ability to read and follow schematics, blueprints, and production drawings 

Familiarity with multimeters, Dobles, and related testing devices 

Adherence to PPE and safety practices 

Ability to work independently and follow established processes 

Attention to detail in documentation and quality control 

 

What Will Put You Ahead 

Clear and effective verbal and written communication with technical teams 

Experience interpreting feedback and documenting production updates 

Strong problem-solving skills and experience using structured resolution methods 

Technical knowledge of switchgear/control panel wiring and test procedures 

Experience updating drawings based on engineering input 

Cross-functional collaboration experience in dynamic production settings 

Accountability for safety, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing work 

 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time 

Ability to perform repetitive operations 

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Summary Pay Range:

$27.25 - $35.45
