Aerospace Global Supplier Manager

We are looking for the Aerospace Sourcing Manager who will manage the global supply base to optimize supplier performance, conduct supplier discovery and mitigate supply chain risks in the aerospace industry. This includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of assigned suppliers. A key priority will be the strategic selection and development of the supply base to align with Woodward’s future needs, while also supporting business group-based purchasing functions through strategic alignment and critical issue escalation proces.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
•Strategy Development (supply base/market knowledge, business integration, deployment planning, internal alignment, global awareness)•Supplier Relationship Management (commercial management, internal coordination and alignment) and Strategic Relationship (risk sharing, contractual creativity, etc.)•Member of the Global Supply Chain team, contributing to the development of organization direction, strategies and models•Contribution in the electromechanical component and aero-specific commodities such as flight control systems and hydraulic and propulsion strategies, incorporation of expertise and insight, and execution of strategic projects to meet committed performance levels•Support Global transitions projects in the aerospace business•Support continuous improvement or supply base performance improvements in the areas of quality, delivery and lead-time performance•Ownership of supplier relationship management responsibilities including supplier discover, development, contract negotiation, and performance management aligned with global strategies•Must be able to travel to customer and other Woodward sites, domestic and internationalWHAT WILL YOU NEED:•5-7 years of experience in combined areas of aerospace sourcing and general business•Expertise in aerospace electromechanical and mechanical commodities ( motors, sensors, valves, actuators, bearings, gears, actuators etc.)•Fluent French-speaking•Ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with international and external stakeholders •Ability to facilitate and lead Green Belt tools, Six Sigma and continuous improvement activities, can participate in Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and supplier audit activities•Strong use of electronic tools including MS-Office programs, MRP/ERP systems•Proficiency in managing and resolving conflicts or escalations effectively and professionally•Ability to develop plans and strategies to ensure achievement of goals and objectives•Ability to execute actions that are not clearly defined and drive appropriate actions for known risks•Some experience in leading Continuous Improvement activities through Six Sigma/LEAN methodologies and tools•Knowledge of aerospace standards ( EASA, FAA, AS9100)WHAT WILL YOU GAIN:
