An lead defense contractor sitting in Petaluma, CA is looking to hire an ONSITE AeroMechanical Engineering Manager. This person will be dedicated to their Group 2 UAV that has vertical take-off and landing. This person will be assisting in improvement of the existing product, next gen design and upleveling the overall product. He/she will be spending around 60% of their time in executing different projects with the team and taking a lead role in project execution. The other remaining 40% of their time will be spent in supporting the team with staff meetings, performance reviews and leading their team of 10 Mechanical Engineers in their development. This site in Petaluma handles initial development of the product all the way through full cycle production, i.e. (design, analysis, prototype, integration, troubleshooting, and verification and assist in new product launch to production). He/She will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment, this will be a full time role (M-Friday on a 9/80 work schedule) paying between $140k-195k, depending on years of experience.
