As a Aeroderivative turbine Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on-site.
You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard.
Safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of Aeroderivative Turbines. The work includes but is not limited to borescope inspections, blade work, combustion/hot section replacements, engine swaps, and other types of maintenance tasks.

As Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.Perform all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directedUse hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas TurbinesExecute hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communicationTroubleshoot complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/ variable speed turbinesOverseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites.Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Technical level in MechanicsHave an active CREA or CFTHave previous experience of work as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of turbine technology.Good mechanical/technical and oral communication skills.Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment. Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore PipingExperience with gas turbines is also preferred.Have experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).Display an impressive customer service-orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions.Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.Be a motivated self-starter and be able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.Have a good English knowledge.Be available to travel globally 70% of the time
