We invent, characterize, and advance novel gene therapy reagents for a wide range of clinical applications, working cross-functionally across disease areas and platforms. Our goal is to deliver on the promise of gene therapy for patients worldwide **Job Responsibilities** + Design, produce, and characterize lentiviral vectors (LVVs) to support discovery-stage cell therapy programs + Develop and execute parallel small-scale LVV production workflows to enable high-throughput testing of construct panels + Perform quality control using molecular and cellular assays (qPCR, ddPCR, flow cytometry, sequencing) + Work with broader teams to quantify in vitro and in vivo outcomes from produced constructs + Work cross-functionally with Lilly’s expertise in Immunology, Oncology, Computational Biology, and Genomics to advance novel programs + Partner with translational teams and CROs to test engineered CARs in primary immune cells, in vitro functional assays, and in vivo models **Basic Requirements** + PhD in biology, molecular biology, or related scientific field. **Additional Preferences** + Demonstrated expertise in LVV production and characterization + Hands-on experience with high-throughput screening tools (flow cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, NGS) + Familiarity with genome editing tools (e.g., CRISPR, recombinase) for site-directed integration is a plus + Experience with primary cell engineering and/or functional screening assays is a plus; in vivo study experience also a plus + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues + Strong communication and collaboration skills Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions. The anticipated wage for this position is $133,500 - $217,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
