Position Summary:

The Investment Advisor provides bankers investment support namely strategic and tactical asset allocation advice and security selection (fixed income, equities, structured notes, mutual funds and discretionary managed portfolios)  Works independently with the bankers in their environment implementing an investment culture while assisting them achieve their commercial goals. The Investment Advisor will work within the SAS team which in total covers approximately 30 Premier bankers (about 3,000 clients with $3 billion) plus the custody accounts in Private Banking. 

The Investment Advisor reports to the SAS Sr. Manager

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

• Analyze investment portfolios, identifying risks and opportunities.  Based on the client’s investment profile the Investment Advisor will identify risks such as concentrations in a security, sector, and industry or asset class and make the appropriate recommendation. Based on client’s preferences, IA will make the appropriate security selection.   

• Manage the Investment process and to identify investment opportunities, in conjunction with the Banker Coordinators/Team Leaders.  Drive the strategic investment initiatives through the Opportunities Process.  

• Provide assistance to the banker in the commercialization of sophisticated products and investment proposals (structured notes, PE, Hedge Funds) to final clients. 

• Provide leadership as it relates to communicating and implementing the Bank’s investment strategy, promoting an investment culture in his or hers area of influence.  

• Participate in investment forums to provide market ideas.

Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor

Specialized Knowledge 

• Knowledge of financial markets

• Modern Portfolio Theory (Asset Allocation)

• Strong commercial (internal sale) skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience 

Business Experience:

5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency  

Technical Knowledge:

Computer and Bloomberg skills
Self-starter, Ability to work independently, Ability to properly prioritize and manage time, Strong work ethics, Team player
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to win people over and Subject matter credibility

Licenses / Certifications:

CFA a plus

Languages:

Portuguese, Spanish, English   

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$75,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$122,500.00 USD
