What does a successful Capacity Management Expert Team do?

Manages and optimizes capacity planning and management processes.Implements and oversees cloud FinOps strategies to ensure cost-effective cloud usage.Utilizes monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Moogsoft to track and analyze system performance.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of capacity management with SDLC and ITSM processes.Develops and maintains scripts using Shell scripting, Python, and Ansible for automation and efficiency.Integrates AI and ML techniques to analyze capacity usage trends and perform predictive analysis.Conducts data analysis to identify patterns and insights for proactive capacity management.Provides expertise in operating systems and ensures optimal performance and scalability.

What you will do:

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of capacity management activities to optimize service delivery.Develop and implement capacity management strategies and methodologies to enhance process effectiveness.Ensure thorough documentation and adherence to capacity management policies and procedures.Use monitoring tools to track and manage capacity-related metrics.Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to elevate capacity management awareness across teams.Analyze capacity management processes and deliver insights to support data-driven decisions.Embrace emerging technologies to enhance capacity management practices and automate workflows.

What you will need to have:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), with a strong focus on capacity management.Proven experience with integrating capacity management processes with ITSM tools.Proficiency in using monitoring tools for managing capacity-related metrics.Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

What would be great to have: (Optional)

Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools.Familiarity with AI and ML applications within ITSM and capacity management.Scripting skills in Python to automate capacity-related tasks.

Experience with monitoring tools for analyzing impacts on service performance
