What Process Control and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Engineering and maintenance is responsible for managing the service life of company assets and technical operations, including but not limited to: building infrastructure, facility utilities, Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), pharmaceutical packaging equipment, tooling, serialization, and supporting our packaging and 3PL operations to achieve total equipment reliability and uptime. These responsibilities are completed through the management of internal and external technical resources to ensure a reliable and safe operating environment necessary for a FDA registered Cardinal Health facility. The engineering, maintenance, and facilities team will be responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance and transacting in the necessary systems to schedule and record maintenance work orders.
Job Summary
The Supervisor, Process Maintenance and Control will oversee the daily functions of Packaging Services and will support facility requirements for 3PL Warehouse Operations. Will ensure that operations are safe, efficient, and of high quality. With responsibility for packaging equipment uptime, compliance and procedures, the Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work, provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues. The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Health’s customer service reputation by ensuring that production is on time and of high quality, develops staff, and enhances operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and quality employees along with leadership teams to develop, expand, and share technical skills and knowledge of primary and secondary pharmaceutical packaging areas.Collaborate with other departments to ensure regulatory requirements and business goals are met.Participate and lead cost savings initiatives surrounding equipment reliability and uptimeSupports new product launches and equipment installation (IQ, OQ, and PQ).Applies current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in all areas of responsibility while maintaining regulatory compliance and supports regulatory agency, ISO and client audits.Leads and fosters a culture that encourages high performance work and employee engagement.Serves as an inspirational leader, coach, and mentor.Facilitates and executes strategic and tactical plans for the site.Proactively mitigates and corrects process deficiencies and non-conformances.Builds relationships with other groups throughout the business and enterprise.Qualifications

Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of maintenance and facilities operations and production staff. Plans and prioritizes work, tracks efficiency and productivity metrics; ensures operations are completed correctly and safelyParticipates in the development of policies, work practices, and standard operating proceduresEnsures employees are properly trained and operate within guidelines through daily coaching and mentoringDecisions have a short and long-term impact on work processes, outcomes, and customer requirementsInteracts and leads direct reports, customers and suppliers at various management levels and will interact with senior managementInteractions normally involve resolution of issues related to technical packaging operations (Equipment, Maintenance, and Repair), achieving uptime targets, and assists in rapid equipment changeoversDetermines productivity or safety issue root cause and coordinates resolution. Promptly and thoroughly documents the issue and communicates the root cause and resolution to leadership and other internal stakeholders as necessaryConducts performance evaluations and provides one-on-one feedback to encourage Associates’ development. Creates performance improvement plans for staff and administers discipline when necessaryParticipates in the interviewing and selection of new Associates and provides trainings during employee onboardingSupports Facilities Maintenance, Security and Temperature Monitoring procedures and on call response as neededAnticipated salary range: $80,900 - $115,500
