Advisor, Damage Prevention

As the Advisor, Damage Prevention, you will focus on gathering and analyzing large volumes of locate and damage data while assessing the effectiveness of various Damage Prevention initiatives. You will provide insights, identify trends, and recommend strategies to strengthen safety practices, minimize asset damage, and deliver value across the organization.
What You Will Do
Apply business intelligence skills to analyze Damage Prevention data and deliver actionable insights.
Collect and monitor locate and damage data to identify trends and opportunities for program improvement.
Develop reports, dashboards, and management tools in collaboration with business and Damage Prevention teams across GDS.
Communicate findings and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
Interpret complex business issues and recommend best practices.
Solve challenges with innovative, broad-based solutions.
Support and contribute to initiatives that reduce damages, promote safe excavation, and enhance regulatory compliance.
Education & Experience:
University degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, OR 6+ years in field operations, OR a combination of education and experience.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently or collaboratively.
Track record of implementing improvements and driving measurable results.
Skills & Knowledge:
Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in Power BI and other performance reporting tools.
Experience using GIS applications to view and analyze gas networks.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Background in process improvement, procedural enhancement, and change management.
