Job Description
As an Advanced Technology Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of new technologies aimed at enhancing production engineering and manufacturing competitiveness. You will lead and manage innovative projects from concept to launch, ensuring successful integration into manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Develop new technologies to improve production engineering and manufacturing competitiveness.Lead and manage projects from concept to launch, including creating schedules and meeting established milestones.Develop equipment procurement scopes of work and ensure specifications are met from planning to production usage.Search for innovative solutions, test them in a manufacturing setting, and develop business case justifications for successful trials.Collaborate closely with internal and external groups including North American Manufacturing Centers, and various divisions to ensure project success.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or 5+ years of equivalent technical experience.3-5 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing preparation.Project management experience, including writing detailed scopes of work, creating schedules, and managing vendors/contractors.Ability to travel up to 30% to various regions including North America, Japan, and Europe.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering or advanced degree is preferred.Academic research experience in new technology or capstone leadership.Experience in coatings and/or battery manufacturing.Experience in robotics including operation, teaching, maintenance, and safety.Experience deploying automotive production equipment and establishing process standards.Work Environment
The work environment involves supporting trial activities and conferences, with travel varying depending on project stages. The position requires no hands-on work, and consultants are supported by flexible schedules and a strong work/life balance. This opportunity offers long-term, stable contracts with ample learning opportunities and potential for full-time positions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
