Hiring details:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Neu Isenburg. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Hybrid/remote options:

Onsite: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing and implementing Technology and Product Innovations Research long term strategies for Digital Airplane

Driving future technology concepts internally across organizational boundaries

Navigating operationally and strategically and within a high performing team environment

Conducts original research and development (R&D) of advanced computing technologies.

Contributes to the research strategy for the organization.

Identifies, assesses and ensures successful deployment of emerging computing technology.

Performs comparative analysis, cost-benefit analysis and trade studies to evaluate and recommend technology.

Determines expertise needed for customer solutions and leads the consulting team.

Development and review of R&D proposals

Forecasts computational needs and capabilities

Influences program decision makers to use appropriate computational tools and processes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

PHD from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science or related

In-depth Aviation Knowledge - strong understanding of the fundamental principles of flight, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, and related disciplines

15 yrs plus experience in aviation industry, digital research and innovation, leading projects teams, communications of strategies and principles to internal mid- and Sr-Level stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Thought content leadership and mentoring skills

MBSE (Model Based Engineering) skills

Problem-Solving skills: ability to diagnose issues, think critically, and devise efficient and effective solutions for complex problems

Airplane Systems Design expertise

Safe Agile proficiency

Strong content ownership

High level of resilience and adaptability

Strong team and collaboration focus
