Advanced Specialist, Sales PTE Sales China
**Job Title:** Advanced Specialist, Sales PTE Sales China **Description:** As an Advanced Specialist, Sales PTE Sales China, you will play a critical role in expanding Pearson’s English Language Learning (ELL) assessment business across China. This is a field-based, consultative sales role where you will build senior-level relationships with corporate and institutional partners, position Pearson as a trusted assessment partner, and directly impact adoption and test volume for the Pearson Test of English (PTE). The role aligns with senior individual contributor sales titles and offers strong visibility and ownership at a national level. **The Role** This role exists to drive sustainable growth for Pearson’s English Language Learning assessment portfolio through high-impact B2B sales and partnerships. You will wake up focused on building meaningful relationships with decision-makers, unlocking new market opportunities, and helping organizations solve real learning and assessment challenges. In your first six months, you will make the biggest impact by establishing a strong corporate pipeline, deepening relationships with priority accounts, and executing targeted outreach and promotional initiatives. What makes this opportunity different is the combination of autonomy, strategic influence, and purpose — you are not just selling a product, but helping learners and institutions succeed through trusted assessment solutions. **What You’ll Own** In this role, success is defined by outcomes and impact rather than activity alone. Your ownership will include: + Driving B2B sales growth for Pearson’s ELL assessment products by developing and executing clear territory and account strategies. + Building, managing, and converting a healthy pipeline of corporate and institutional partners, from prospecting through to close. + Leading customer engagements, including senior-level meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations that clearly articulate value. + Expanding market presence through promotional events, education fairs, and industry activities. + Identifying new segments and revenue opportunities through market research and strategic planning. + Managing negotiations and agreements to achieve regional targets while aligning with national objectives. **About You** You bring strong commercial capability and relationship-building experience, and you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment. You combine sales discipline with curiosity and a consultative mindset. + You have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, or the education and assessment sector. + You have a proven track record of developing senior stakeholder relationships and closing complex deals. + You understand the learning, development, or international education landscape and can translate customer needs into tailored solutions. + You communicate with confidence and influence, whether presenting to executives or collaborating with internal teams. + You are proactive, independent, and highly organized, with the ability to manage priorities across a wide geographic territory. + You are comfortable using CRM tools and Microsoft Office to manage pipelines and performance. + You are fluent in both English and Mandarin and open to frequent domestic travel. **What You’ll Get** At Pearson, we aim to make this more than just a job. + The opportunity to own and shape corporate sales strategy for a globally recognized assessment brand. + Continuous learning and development, with access to Pearson’s extensive learning resources and global expertise. + Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives. + Flexible working practices, where applicable, supporting balance and autonomy. + An inclusive, purpose-driven culture where your work directly contributes to learner success and community impact. **Ready to Make an Impact?** Apply now and help shape what’s next for English Language Learning and assessment at Pearson. \#LI-TW1 **Who we are:** At Pearson, our purpose is simple: to help people realize the life they imagine through learning.
