**Job Title** - Advanced Specialist, Ecommerce You’ll lead Pearson’s web testing and optimization strategy, using data, experimentation, and storytelling to continuously improve digital journeys and conversion performance at scale. **About the role** Working as a member of the web marketing team, the Sr. Web Conversion Optimization Manager will be accountable for leading the testing & optimization strategy to continuously improve the conversion rates of our websites and performance landing pages. This person is responsible for web conversion rate optimization (CRO) with a charge to instill an innovative, testing-centric mentality to our digital marketing efforts. This person should have extensive experience in A/B & multivariate testing, statistical validation, and aligning the necessary tools and skillsets to execute. The ideal candidate should enjoy hypothesizing, researching, and testing new approaches to improving the digital journeys & engagements of our consumers. This role requires a strong familiarity with analytics to leverage insights into actional plans, as well as an ability to build consensus and a strong desire to ‘fail fast’ and continuously apply learnings to achieve long-term goals. **Primary Responsibilities** **:** + Lead a matrixed, cross-functional web testing team to define and operationalize workflows required to successfully execute CRO tests and optimizations. + Develop the web testing & personalization strategy & roadmap; oversee the entire testing process from beginning to end and from ideation through analysis and reporting. + Partner with Analytics & Insights team to establish and track KPIs and develop reporting and analysis of experiments. + Partner and continuously align with other web business owners across the website & performance marketing teams to ensure projects are prioritized within the overall web roadmap and that achieve the organization's objectives. + Execute and make key decisions on A/B testing, multivariate testing, lead generation form testing, and site personalization to improve user experience and increase site conversion rates. + Serve as a strategic subject matter expert (SME) on CRO, web testing, and all things website performance. + “Tell a good story” – translate the empirical learnings from experiments into a compelling story geared toward action and impact for senior leadership. + Manage testing and personalization platforms. + Create and lead a CRO ‘Center of Excellence’ to align A/B testing initiatives across all marketing channels to share best practices and foster collaboration and coordination across marketing experiences. + Manage and oversee any vendor or outsourced partner relationships and ensure that these partnerships contribute toward achieving CRO program goals. + Work closely with the Web Design & Development team to align on UX testing needs, as well as coordinate the implementation and deployment of winning experiments and variations to web properties. + Other responsibilities as assigned by the line manager. **Requirements** **:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Marketing or equivalent discipline, or appropriate combination of experience and education + 5+ years' experience in developing, launching, and analyzing CRO programs and tests + Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a team of conversion analysts + Demonstrated proven track record of improving digital conversion rates (CVR) through testing + Experience with website testing platforms (WEVO, VWO, Adobe Target, etc.) + High-level of knowledge working with Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager, and other web analytics tools + Understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript and JQuery + Strong foundation in statistics with analytical & problem-solving skills + Prior experience utilizing reporting and analytics tools such as Big Query & Tableau strongly desired + Experience in digital marketing for lead generation, with a track record of driving results + Proven project management skills – effective collaborator and consensus builder with a focus on completing on time and on budget + Team player that works well with partners from other departments and can influence without direct reporting accountability + Ability to work autonomously, be a “self-starter”, solve complex problems, and overcome obstacles + Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor which helps foster an upbeat working environment + Experience with web content management applications (Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, etc.) and SEO techniques a plus **Compensation:** Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
