What you can expect at your practice:

Full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant supporting cardiac surgery services at WellSpan York Hospital. Join a collaborative team of five experienced mid-level providers (combined 30 years of experience) and four cardiac surgeons.Schedule: Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts.Call: One night per week (phone) and one weekend per month. Weekend rounding: 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., then on-call (phone) for the remainder of the weekend. Call is taken from home; includes floor calls and hospital visits for emergencies.Balance surgical cases across two ORs while managing consults and inpatient care.Conduct consults, patient rounds, and comprehensive assessments. Care for post-op cardiac floor patients and ICU cases; complete discharges. Handle documentation and in-basket tasks. Qualifications: Acute Care NP or PA required.Surgical First Assist Certification not required.Experience in cardiac surgery setting required; no new graduates considered.Must live within 40 minutes of WellSpan York Hospital.
