Job Details Advanced Practice Provider Cardiology Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our cardiology team on Long Island, NY. The APP will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. This role requires clinical expertise in managing a broad range of cardiac conditions, collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care. Advanced Practice Provider Cardiology Key Responsibilities: Perform thorough cardiovascular assessments and history-taking for patients admitted to the hospital as well as those in outpatient clinics. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, and hypertension. Manage in-patient cardiac care including coordination of diagnostics, therapies, and discharge planning in collaboration with the cardiology team. Provide outpatient care including routine follow-ups, medication management, patient education, and risk factor modification. Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab results; initiate appropriate interventions or referrals. Assist in invasive procedures and cardiac catheterizations when applicable and under supervision. Document all patient interactions, clinical findings, and care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and timely. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and continuing education to stay current with cardiology best practices. Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment adherence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes. Advanced Practice Provider Cardiology Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with a specialization or experience in cardiology preferred. Current NY State license and certification as an NP or PA. BLS and ACLS certification required. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in cardiology or related field preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to manage complex cardiac patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Advanced Practice Provider Cardiology Preferred Experience: Experience in both hospital and outpatient cardiology practice. Knowledge of current cardiology guidelines and protocols. Interest or experience in cardiac procedures or research. Salary Range USD $69.54 - USD $90.00 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
