As our Advanced Manufacturing Quality Engineer IV, you'll be the technical authority driving process and quality excellence across our solar energy storage product line—products built to last 25 years and power the clean energy future. This isn't just another quality role, it's your chance to excel in a Manufacturing Engineering capacity while shaping the reliability standards for products that will transform how the world uses energy. **An Engineering job with a Quality twist!** **Roles and Responsibilities:** **Technical Leadership & Innovation** + Serve as subject matter expert for PCB/PCBA materials, assembly tooling, and high-reliability manufacturing processes + Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and provide critical input to engineering teams on new product designs + Drive continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing partner network + Develop and implement measurement methods ensuring consistent process control **Manufacturing Excellence** + Collaborate directly with contract manufacturers to optimize materials, processes, and quality outcomes + Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities and ensure manufacturing readiness + Qualify equipment installations and process setups at partner facilities + Monitor compliance with quality and safety certification standards **Problem Solving & Analysis** + Lead cross-functional teams through complex manufacturing challenges + Participating in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) activities + Drive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes for manufacturing and material issues + Apply Statistical Process Control tools to identify and resolve quality issues **Strategic Partnership Management** + Build and maintain technical relationships with global manufacturing partners + Support new product introductions from concept through full-scale production + Ensure environmental exposure requirements are met through proper material and process selection **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) + 8+ years manufacturing and testing experience with high-reliability electronic PCBA assemblies + Deep expertise in solder chemistries/processing, electronics cleaning, and cleanliness validation + Hands-on experience with conformal coating and potting processes + Strong quantitative analysis skills with ability to communicate data-driven insights + Working knowledge of PCB design and DFM tools + Understanding of Statistical Process Control methodologies + Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities for complex manufacturing challenges + Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams through complex technical challenges **Preferred Qualifications:** + Power electronics, consumer electronics, or commercial electronics background + Experience in matrix organizations and international manufacturing environments + Track record collaborating across multiple sites and functions + Strong knowledge of IPC, J-STD, and applicable PCBA standards + Experience with failure analysis equipment (SEM, X-Ray, IC, LIBS, Optical Microscopy, FTIR) + Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles + Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred + IPC certification (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610) a plus **Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
