The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional collaboration skills to lead and support machine and automation connectivity in Mission Systems.
As an Advanced Manufacturing Machine Connectivity Product Owner, you will be responsible for:
+ Machine connectivity across Mission Systems factories
+ Acting subject matter expert for Connected Assets program in Mission Systems
+ Focusing on tactical and operational plans for assigned product lines and responsible for driving site execution.
+ Forging partnerships with sites and cross functional groups to align with Mission Systems Advanced Manufacturing objectives.
+ Solving complex technical problems as novel systems are onboarded into the Collins environment.
+ Collaborating with DT, Cyber, and Enterprise Operations to navigate complex system environments and accelerate solution deployments to factories
**What You Will Do:**
+ Product owner for Connected Assets. Connect machines and automation equipment utilizing I4.0 methods, Banner hardware, Kepserver, and/or alternative means using engineering methods.
+ Act as subject matter expert and first level technical escalation for assigned products.
+ Accountable for proliferation of assigned technology across the business units.
+ Collaborate with factories on identifying, developing, and deploying I4.0 technologies to connect automation (e.g., robotic cells, PLC/HMI, SCADA, machine vision) across multiple factory sites.
+ Partner with DT, cybersecurity, operations, and engineering teams to identify and remove digital infrastructure barriers to smart manufacturing deployment.
+ Drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution of complex capital and technology projects.
+ Contributes to the development and implementation of Collins standards for automation and factory connectivity.
+ Mentor and provide technical guidance to factory automation focals
+ This is a remote based role with up to 25% travel as needed.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
+ Experience with connecting automated machinery to collect data. I.e., automation, controls, robotics, and/or vision systems
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
+ Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
+ Experience with Kepware/Kepserver, Banner hardware, industrial protocols, equipment hardware connectivity
+ MES experience with Eview and/or Solumina
+ Controls engineering experience with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision system experience a plus

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
