OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As part of the central EU & Africa Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team, your role will be to support activities related to Safety Critical Fastening within the EU & Africa seating plants, including implementation and development of the SGS-025 Torque Standard, and driving fastening-related innovation and automation. The role also leads AME efforts around safety critical items.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working with all stakeholders to define and deploy equipment and process standards for Customer safety critical fastening items. Collaboration with Plant Industrial Engineering teams to implement fastening standards and standard equipment. Coaching plant engineering teams on best practices and defined standards for safety critical items. Lead audits and support plants in the implementation and verification of fastening processes. Run the RPA program for fastener data verification and ensure data accuracy. Identify and support the rollout of fastening-related innovations and automation solutions. Partner with Purchasing to develop key suppliers for fastening equipment. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Quality, Safety Engineering, EHS, and IT.
Requirements:
Min. 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role. Technical University Degree. Understanding of screwing tools, processes and fastening strategies. High Standard of English language. Project management experience. Willingness and flexibility to travel within the role (max. 40% of the time, travels within Europe) Strong problem-solving skills. Good communicator – comfortable in presenting to all levels within the business. Understanding of ergonomics. Working knowledge of MS Office and LPS/MES system.We offer:
