Job Description

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be instrumental in developing, testing, and implementing state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes within existing factories. This role demands innovation in creating new manufacturing concepts utilizing the latest technologies, validating proof of concepts, and collaborating with the manufacturing engineering team to integrate these technologies into production. The position also involves collaborating on the launch of new or revised products to harness advanced manufacturing methods, with a focus on cost reduction, quality improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training. Expertise in CNC programming and processing new products through CNC machines is essential.

ResponsibilitiesConduct research, design, and development of advanced manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.Understand and interpret complex part drawings and product design intent.Develop business case benefit proposals and present them to senior leadership.Track project metrics post-launch to confirm target achievement and evaluate results.Integrate multiple technologies into production systems and into existing production systems.Utilize project management techniques to ensure tools, gauges, fixtures, equipment, routings, and CMM/CNC programs are fully defined, documented, and implemented.Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement.Collaborate effectively with external technical support and continuously train internal staff.Represent advanced manufacturing on cross-functional teams.Work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision, establishing priorities and meeting scheduled completion dates.Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsManufacturing engineeringManufacturing processProcess improvementContinuous improvementAutomationInjection mouldingSolidWorks and CAM knowledgeMachiningCNC programming/processing new products through CNC machines5+ years of experience in a semi-automated manufacturing environmentMechanical designPC-DMISCAD softwarePLC programmingFixture designAdditional Skills & QualificationsWorking command of the English languageAbility to read, write, and interpret EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPointRobot or PLC programming is a plusCMM programming & PC-DMIS is a plusWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
