The Advanced Welding Fabrication Specialist is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding Welding Processes, Welding Applications and the Economics of Welding including Motion Devices, CNC Cutting Systems, Robotic Welding Automation and Controllers, & Welding Software. This advanced technical sales position is responsible for shortening the sales cycle with the ultimate goal of growing and retaining core business. The Advanced Welding Fabrication Specialist interacts with a broad spectrum of Airgas associates, external vendors and suppliers as well as existing and prospective customers.
Serve as a highly proficient technical Airgas Sales Representative for both prospective and existing local and national customers.
Explain to customers how Airgas solutions can effectively match their needs with appropriate products and services.
Increase sales and profit margins through strategic initiatives like The Efficiency Analysis, Engineered Cost Reduction, and Unlocking the HIDDEN Costs of Welding.
Drive the Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology, providing comprehensive support and assistance to Airgas customers.
Handle large capital sales related to Automation, demonstrating familiarity with Flexible, Fixed Automation applications, and CNC cutting systems.
Conduct customer sales calls, answer customer inquiries, and ensure satisfactory resolution of customer complaints.
Operate in a safe manner at all times, proactively advocating for safety, promoting it by example, and aggressively encouraging safety among other associates and customers.
________________________Are you a MATCH?Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience, with strong proficiency in complex/technical sales.
Associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR two to five years of related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven track record as a top producer may be considered in lieu of formal educational requirements.
Ideally, 10+ years of experience in the Welding Industry, highly proficient in complex/technical sales.
Demonstrated relationship management & consultative aptitude with the ability to problem-solve and devise technical solutions for the customer.
Excellent presentation skills, with the confidence to sell to high-level customer executives.
Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualification:
Background in TQM, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.
Preferred certifications: Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS), Certified Welding Educator (CWE)
