Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist to develop the process lay out for new product.
+ Review all customer new product drawing and provide manufacturing feasibility feedback, also assist on Creating DFM.
+ Lead new product testing and generate report for each testing and keep track of all the testing.
+ Preparing the new product tooling’s for testing and for qualification builds.
+ Follow up with concern people to get the tooling on time to meet the target date.
+ Provide technical support during production ramp-up, troubleshooting issues as they arise on the shop floor
+ Upon receiving inspect the tooling’s and file & maintain the report for reference.
+ Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
+ Documentation and Reporting: Develop detailed technical documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and test reports. Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Research and develop new stamping processes, materials, and technologies to improve productivity and product quality.
+ Lead All customer new product qualification build.
+ Oversee the fabrication of prototypes and pilot runs. Analyze results and iterate on design or process parameters as needed.
+ Technology Scouting: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new equipment, software, or methodologies for adoption.
+ Should be able to use statistical tools like JMP or Minitab to analyze the data, make data driven decision and address the issues during build.
+ Material Selection and Testing: Collaborate with material scientists to assess new alloys, coatings, or treatments. Conduct tests to verify material formability, durability, and compatibility with stamping processes.
+ Intellectual Property: Contribute to the development and protection of intellectual property by documenting inventions, supporting patent applications, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
+ Deep understanding of stamping principles, tool/die mechanics, material science, and production systems.
+ Creative approach to problem-solving and process improvement, with a passion for pioneering new solutions.
+ Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
+ Rigor in documenting processes, analyzing test results, and ensuring quality standards are met.
+ Proficient in working with cross-functional teams, facilitating knowledge sharing and consensus-building.
+ Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with advances in materials, equipment, and methodologies.
+ Knowledge and experience of press tools, jigs, fixtures manufacturing and maintenance.
+ Able to operate basic tool room machines like grinding, milling & lathe etc.
+ Able to read and write engineering drawings.
+ Able to work under pressure.
