As a member of the **Flight Recorders engineering team** , you will be part in an organization which is responsible for development of innovative flight recorders technology (also known as **Black Boxes** ).
We have an opportunity for a **Advanced Embedded SW Design Engineer** to join our **Aerospace Engineering** team in Brno.
**How will your role look like?**
You will have an opportunity to guide and oversee airborne system development, allowing you to specialize in an exciting niche within the aerospace engineering field and build up unique subject domain expertise (flight recorders – cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders), which in past helped to shape and improve safety of air traffic.

**In this position** you will be given an opportunity to grow your technical skills, interact with multiple different stakeholders (engineering, business teams, suppliers, customers and other partners) In addition to daily technical tasks, you will be encouraged to think out of the box and come up with new ideas and or approaches how to grow our recorders business. From the short/mid term perspective you will grow into Engineering Product owner role, who will have design authority over complete Recorders portfolio.
As a member of the **Flight Recorders engineering team** you will participate on development of new generation of flight recorders (black boxes). Your main responsibilities will be split between SW development, collecting requirements from stakeholders, addressing and coordinating customer issues resolution.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ This position involves implementation, testing and integration of SW/FW based on structured requirements and the job assignment may vary based on primary managers’ directives
+ Follow, oversee and refine methodologies for SW/FW design, while enhancing coding best practices
+ Contribute to product engineering documentation following RTCA DO-178C standard
+ Communicate issues with stakeholders/team and actively contribute to their timely resolution and make sure all goals are completed in a satisfactory manner and issues timely communicated
+ Support Recorders COE organization in their initiatives, long term strategies and product roadmaps
**Key requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering. Advanced degree preferred and continuous learning expected
+ Senior level C/C++ Programming skillset
+ Proven track record of developing RTOS application software and firmware solutions for embedded systems
+ Experience with SW/FW testing and debugging using Jlink Debug Probes, or any other
+ Ability to communicate in English language – B2 to C1

+ Knowledge of High-Speed serial interfaces – Ethernet, PCIe, USB, LVDS
+ Basic understanding of an FPGA.
+ Knowledge of the SW/FW development best practices and SW/FW development cycle
+ Experience with Embedded development for real-time applications
+ Experience with working in team
+ Excellent communications skills (both written and oral)
