You’ll support the planning and delivery of high-impact conferences and customer-facing events, partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution, strong engagement, and measurable business outcomes.
About the Role
The Advanced Associate, Events plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of conferences, summits, and customer-facing events that align with organisational and business priorities. This role works closely with the Events Lead, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure event programmes are executed efficiently, professionally, and at scale.
You will be responsible for end-to-end event coordination support, helping to design, organise, and deliver both virtual and in-person events while maintaining high standards of quality, organisation, and stakeholder experience.
Principal Responsibilities
Event Planning & Delivery
Support and manage the planning and delivery of conferences and customer-facing events from concept through to execution.
Collaborate with the Events Lead to design effective and scalable models for conferences, summits, industry events, and lead-generation programmes aligned to business objectives.
Event Coordination & Execution
Support all aspects of event planning including agenda development, registration management, app creation, speaker coordination, communications, survey development, A/V requirements, venue logistics, food and beverage planning, signage, templates, vendor management, promotional items, creative assets, accounts payable, and timeline tracking.
Ensure events are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high professional standard.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners, external clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality event experiences.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, business area leaders, and other stakeholders to align event delivery with strategic priorities.
Marketing & Communications Support
Collaborate with marketing teams to schedule, create, and launch promotional communications including invitation emails, advertisements, and web banners to maximise event awareness and registration.
Post-Event Reporting & Insights
Support the development of post-event deliverables including survey reporting, attendee lists, recordings, presentations, and budget reconciliation.
Assist in measuring event effectiveness through basic ROI tracking, performance reporting, and feedback analysis.
Continuous Improvement & Best Practice
Stay informed on evolving trends in event platforms, registration systems, and industry best practices.
Contribute ideas and improvements to enhance event processes, engagement, and scalability.
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of experience in event planning, conference coordination, or related marketing/event roles.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, event management, communications, education, or a related field preferred.
Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating successful virtual and in-person events.
Skills & Competencies
Outstanding organisational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new tools and event technologies.
Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented in fast-paced environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Creative, curious, and proactive mindset with a willingness to bring forward new ideas.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work effectively within a cross-functional environment.
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for on-site event support.
**Compensation:**
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
**The minimum full-time salary range is between $40,000 – $50,000.**
