**Position Title: Advanced Associate, Events** **Job Title: Events Coordinator** **Job Description:** As an **Advanced Associate, Events (Events Coordinator)** , you will support the end‑to‑end delivery of Pearson’s UK and international teacher‑training events by scheduling sessions, managing logistics, and ensuring smooth execution across face‑to‑face, online, and on‑demand formats. You will maintain accurate event data, communicate professionally with customers, trainers, and internal partners, and take full ownership of assigned events, resolving issues and escalating risks as needed. Additionally, you will contribute to process improvements, collaborate across teams during peak periods, and help onboard new starters while adapting to evolving training needs and business priorities. **Business Area Overview:** The Training from Pearson team, part of the Qualification Processing division, delivers high‑quality training for teachers across the UK and internationally. We provide face‑to‑face, online, and on‑demand training that supports effective teaching and confident use of Pearson products, as well as broader pedagogical development. Our team manages the full lifecycle of training delivery — from course design and content production to logistics, scheduling, trainer management, customer communication, and event evaluation. We work closely with internal teams, external partners, and a pool of specialist trainers and writers to ensure a consistent, professional, and customer‑focused training experience. **Position Description:** We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join the Training from Pearson team as an **Advanced Associate, Events Coordinator** . You will ensure all training events are scheduled accurately, delivered smoothly, and supported through effective communication with customers, trainers, venues, and internal teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Coordinate the full set‑up and booking of training events (face‑to‑face and online) in line with team SLAs and regulatory policies, escalating issues as they arise. + Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency. This includes ensuring accurate data across our Event Management System and related spreadsheets. + Liaise professionally with customers, trainers, and colleagues to maintain positive working relationships, confirm event details and respond to queries. + Provide clear and timely updates on any changes, including cancellations or venue adjustments. + Work collaboratively within and across teams, particularly during peak periods to support wider departmental needs. + Take complete ownership and accountability for any events allocated to you, including any queries or issues to ensure resolution. + Proactively identify and support process improvements. + Support new starters through on‑the‑job training when required. **Skills/Qualifications:** + High level of communication, organization and the ability to effectively priorities workload. + Excellent customer service, and the ability to co-ordinate and carry out activities with limited supervision. Good interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with internal and external customers. + Prepared to be flexible in their approach to supporting others to deliver. + Prepared to be open to the need for the role to evolve to meet new deadlines and objectives as the business’ goals and targets change especially in how we provide training to different customers. **Education:** **Essential** + Bachelor's Degree Graduate **Desirable** + Events Management Qualification. **Previous Experience:** **Essential** + Demonstration of strong attention to detail and organizational skills, either through work experience, summer placements or previous employment. + Excellent experience of working alongside people of different levels and background. + Excellent customer service skills. **Desirable** + Knowledge of end-to-end production of training events, face to face and online. + Some experience of working in the education sector. **IT Literacy** **Essential** + Experience of using Microsoft Office packages in particular Microsoft Excel at intermediate level.
