Job Description

You are expected to contribute to the development of AI-driven control and optimization technologies that will pave the way for transition from automation to autonomy. Forge partnership to test new AI-driven solutions in real world setting is a major requirement for this position.

You will report to the Director - AI.

Your Responsibilities:Participate in the algorithmic development, testing, and POC deployment of AI-driven control and optimization solutionsCapture the feedback from POC engagements and incorporate lessons learned back into the AI engine.Create and execute required test scenarios/plans to ensure complete testing of AI solution and its componentsArchitect AI solution for integration with real-time control loop in Industrial Automation applications.Collaborates with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment of AI architecture with business prioritiesProactively monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to implement new technologiesHelp create a culture of openness and transparencyBuild strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders across the organization

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Masters or Ph.D in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.Familiarity with the AI/ML-driven modeling and first-principles modeling of complex systems is a mustFamiliarity with optimization theory (e.g., LP, NLP, MILP, MINLP)Experience with python programming languageEnthusiasm towards learning new technologies is a mustFamiliarity with AI/ML/DL libraries (e.g., PyTorch)Familiarity with optimization solvers (e.g., IPOPT, CPLEX, BARON)Familiarity with cloud solution (e.g., Azure, AWS)Familiarity with edge deployment (e.g., Nvidia Orin/Jetson, Arduino)

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from Total Base Pay Range 125,680.00 - 188,520.00 CAD Annual with an annual target bonus of 8% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
