BSWH’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Division of Psychology, is seeking a Texas-licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with interest/experience in Health Psychology to join our outstanding clinical team addressing adult mental health needs in a medical setting. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality patient care, provision of evidence-based interventions, and effective partnering with referring physicians, agencies, and other professionals to provide optimum service within our award-winning integrated health care system.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\nDirect clinical service to patients and families in an outpatient mental health clinic and in a medical-surgical hospital setting.\nProvide consultation, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions for a wide range of mental health, behavioral, and psychosocial concerns within a comprehensive health care setting.\nConduct clinical teaching/supervision of Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows, Psychiatry Residents, and medical students from Baylor College of Medicine.\nOption to pursue scholarly interests in clinical/health psychology.\nOnsite (full-time) presence at our clinical campus in Temple, Texas.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS:

\n\nDoctoral degree in Clinical or Health Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from a university-based graduate program fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Note: This requirement assumes completion of a one-year pre-doctoral internship that is APA- or CPA-accredited, or its substantial equivalent, i.e., a member program of Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).\n\n\nTexas license to practice Psychology issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP), or license-eligible in Texas. Note: This requirement assumes completion of one-year of Postdoctoral supervised training (1,750 hours), preferably from an APA-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Health Service Psychology or an APPIC-member program. \nPreference given to candidates who are Board-certified in Clinical or Clinical Health Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), or whose professional trajectory includes board certification when eligible.\n\n
