Minimum Qualifications Four years of social services experience; OR Six years of full-time work experience plus one year of social services experience; OR A bachelor's degree plus one year of social services experience; OR A master's degree in social work, a social science, education, counseling or vocational rehabilitation. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Conduct thorough investigationsof reported abuse, neglect, exploitation, or extortion involving vulnerable adults with physical, mental, or developmental disabilities living in various community and facility settings. + Assess client needs and risk factorsby interviewing clients, caregivers, providers, and reviewing medical or psychological records to determine immediate safety concerns and service requirements. + Develop and implement individualized service plansin coordination with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and family members to reduce risk and stabilize the client’s situation. + Collaborate closely with law enforcement, legal professionals, and community agencies tofacilitate appropriate civil or criminal actions, including preparing reports, affidavits, and providing testimony in court when necessary. + Maintain comprehensive and confidential case documentation, ensuringtimely and accurate data entry and reporting in compliance with agency and legal standards. + Participate in ongoing training and community education effortsto stay current on adult protective services best practices and to promote awareness of adult abuse prevention in the community.
