ADS TA Lead, Immunology / CVRM

This role is in Analytical Data Science, a core function within Product Development Data Sciences (PDD) that provides strategic leadership and scientific rigor across Development at Roche. PDD Analytical Data Science teams are mobilized across the portfolio to generate data-driven insights, identify opportunities for scale, and implement impactful solutions.

We identify, influence, and adopt industry-leading digital and automation solutions, develop analytical approaches to support exploratory analyses, and align statistical programming practices across both early- and late-stage clinical development.

The Opportunity:

 As the Analytical Data Science Lead for Immunology / CVRM, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across statistical programming activities supporting development programs within this area. You will be accountable for ensuring high-quality programming delivery that underpins robust clinical data analysis and regulatory submissions, including the  review of available data through visualization techniques and the elevation of exploratory insights. In this role, you will oversee team performance, contribute to portfolio planning, and drive operational improvements across Immunology / CVRM programs. You will work in close partnership across PDDand the broader Roche community to shape data strategies and execution plans aligned with the needs of Immunology / CVRM development.

You will also foster a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement while mentoring a team of programmers; this includes ensuring consistent ways of working and active collaboration across early- and late-stage programs. This position plays a critical role in scaling modern programming practices, adopting emerging technologies, and enabling cross-functional collaboration to deliver on Roche’s Immunology / CVRM pipeline.

You align statistical programming strategy and execution for Immunology / CVRM in alignment with PDD’s broader goals

You embed and advocate for the adoption of Data, Digital/AI, and Design (the 3Ds) across programming workflows in Immunology / CVRM

You serve as a role model for quality, compliance, collaboration, and delivery excellence, promoting a learning mindset across your team

You create clear accountability across the programming function and with cross-functional partners to ensure aligned delivery within [Therapeutic Area

 You translate Immunology / CVRM development plans and exploratory insights into efficient and scalable programming operating models

You guide the adoption of standardized processes, tools, and metrics to improve delivery and promote reuse across Immunology / CVRM studies

You contribute to innovation efforts within Immunology / CVRM, including automation, digital integration, and workflow modernization

You participate in programming function planning and support strategic resource allocation for Immunology / CVRM initiatives

You act as the primary Analytical Data Science point of contact for Immunology / CVRM, representing the function in cross-functional and governance forums

You collaborate with Biostatistics, Data Management, and other PDD-wide stakeholders to align on programming deliverables with Immunology / CVRM objectives

You ensure transparent communication of programming timelines, risks, and deliverables across stakeholders

You promote collaboration with external partners (e.g., CROs, vendors) to optimize programming capacity and support for Immunology / CVRM studies

You support global coordination of programming efforts across the Immunology / CVRM portfolio

You ensure delivery of high-quality statistical programming outputs for Immunology / CVRM studies and regulatory submissions

You maintain oversight of programming compliance with CDISC standards, Roche SOPs, and regulatory expectations within Immunology / CVRM

You drive adoption of modern programming tools and workflows across Immunology / CVRM programs (e.g., SAS, R, automation, metadata-driven programming)

You monitor key performance indicators and contribute to inspection readiness for Immunology / CVRM studies

You support implementation of AI/ML-enabling capabilities and exploratory analytics

You promote the adoption of deeper-level data analyses through visualization in conjunction with AI/ML and other future-focused tools

You lead and coach a team of ADS Leaders and Programmers aligned to Immunology / CVRM studies and programs

You provide regular feedback, development planning, and performance management for team members

You build programming capability across Immunology / CVRM through training, mentorship, and cross-functional exposure

You promote an inclusive and high-performance culture aligned with Roche values and specific needs of Immunology / CVRM programs

You support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies in partnership with People & Culture for Immunology / CVRM roles

You demonstrate respect for cultural differences when interacting with colleagues in the global workplace 
 

Who you are: 

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or a related field

You have 15+ years of experience in statistical programming within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, ideally including experience in Immunology / CVRM

You have demonstrated leadership in delivering statistical programming across clinical studies or programs within a therapeutic area

You bring expertise in statistical programming tools and languages (e.g., SAS, R) and clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC SDTM/ADaM)

You are familiar with programming in support of regulatory submissions and compliance expectations (e.g., FDA, EMA)

You bring strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills within a matrix organization

You have experience leading a global team and/or organization

You have experience with automation, metadata-driven design, or digital programming environments (an advantage)

You are fluent in English and willing to travel internationally (approx. 10–15%)

Relocation benefits are not available for this posting

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Massachusetts is $181,800.00 - $337,600.00.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
