Job Summary
Responsible for performing registration, administrative and clerical functions of the Admitting Department, specific tasks vary by entity.- Bedside registration is completed and thorough. Face sheet information is reviewed for accuracy; any errors are updated in entity referral system.
- Admission paperwork is completed with patient or his/her designated proxy in accordance with established procedures.
- Referral information is maintained, updated, and provided to inpatient unit per established standards.
- Patient electronic information is managed via 4next and the entity referral systems per established guidelines.
- Demographic and insurance information is verified, and insurance signatures are obtained in accordance with established standards.
- Input is provided in technology initiatives to enhance the admissions process and achieve department goals.
- Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives.
- Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence are upheld.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Admissions Associate
- Facility tours are provided to accurately and comprehensively represent organizational services.
- Coordination is provided between referral source and facility to ensure timely and smooth referral process.
- As indicated by entity conversion data and other related reports are prepared to meet established goals.
- Access database is maintained to meet department needs.
Education/Degree
- High School Graduation or GED required
- Associate’s Degree preferred for Senior Admissions Associate.
Experience
- Medical terminology experience preferred for the Senior Admissions Associate.
Qualifications

Preferred: - Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population. - Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team. - Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them. - High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations. - Attention to detail.
