Wonder City Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hopewell, Virginia is seeking an Admissions Coordinator! Be the first point-of-contact for families, discharge planners and other new resident referral sources. Work with Sales and Marketing and be involved in the community to make sure people are aware of the excellence in healthcare that Wonder City Health & Rehabilitation Center offers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively welcomes new admissions and responsible parties to the center and sets expectations.
Builds positive rapport with patients and families by constantly rounding and addressing nonclinical concerns.
Provides individualized customer service based on patients’ needs.
Identifies opportunities to improve service and/or patient experience via Kiosks, surveys, google reviews, and other methods.
Investigates the root cause of patients’ care concerns and involve the appropriate department leaders.
Acts as a backup support to the admission team when needed.
Helps patients navigate various digital tools needed to complete surveys and Google reviews.
Facilitate customer engagement by assisting with admission contracts, questionnaires, and other duties as assigned.
Facilitates tours and validates room readiness before admission.
Completes grievances form when addressing patients’ concerns for proper follow-up.
Maintains a positive, engaging, welcoming, and caring attitude while engaging with patients, families, and personnel.
Be proficient in using electronic programs including but not limited to, CensusPro, PointClickCare, emails, zoom, teams, and office suite to complete assigned administrative tasks.
Upholds resident rights and confidentiality.
PREREQUISITES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent
Current CPR certification (preferred)
2+ years of customer service experience
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
Positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers.
Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
Computer skills and advanced communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and problem-solving
