The review of resumes will begin when the posting closes. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted via email. The interview process will consist of one 30-45 minute screening interview and possibly a second interview for select candidates.

Job Summary

The Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning is looking for two part-time, temporary, admissions assistants to work from November 2025 through March 2026. Reporting to the graduate recruiting and admissions coordinator senior, (our organizational chart), you will provide application processing support. You are focused and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This is a remote position with flexible hours that will start in early November with paid training. Preference may be given to candidates available to work part-time between the Christmas Day and New Year's Day holidays.

Expected workload by month (minimum to maximum, hours are flexible):
- November 2025: 2-5 hours/week
- December 2025: 5-15 hours/week
- January 2026: 20-40 hours/week with tight deadlines
- February 2026: 10-30 hours/week
- March 2026: 5-20 hours/week (end date depending on the needs of the college)

The selected candidate(s) will be required to have their own personal computer (with an operating system that supports internet-based software's provided by the University of Michigan) and reliable high-speed internet access (no DHL) in order to complete assigned work. 

Responsibilities*Check applications for completeness and maintain completion records on a shared spreadsheet.Update Master admissions prerequisites spreadsheetsReview applicant undergraduate transcripts for the Master of Architecture degree prerequisite requirements and note any deficiencies. Ensure Master of Architecture application files are reviewed by the appropriate faculty admissions committees (2-year/Advanced Standing program vs. 3-year program).Upload admissions documents to the digital file system and label appropriately.Assist with preparation of financial certification forms for international students who will require a student visa.Required Qualifications*At least a high school diplomaExcellent communication skills, written and verbalExcellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Docs, and the ability to learn software applications quicklyAbility to use sound judgment and manage confidential informationAbility to work remotely and independentlyU-M EEO Statement
