Description We are looking for a dedicated Admissions Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, within the Higher Education industry. This is a long-term contract role where you will play a key part in supporting admissions and records operations, ensuring both efficiency and quality in daily workflows. Your contributions will directly impact the applicant and learner experience through both production and non-production activities.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve daily and weekly production targets while maintaining high-quality output.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of workflows and processes across the department.
• Cross-train in workflows outside your primary area to provide operational flexibility.
• Address escalations and resolve applicant and learner issues, while identifying systematic improvements.
• Provide training and support to team members as a subject matter expert or trainer.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to identify and address process defects.
• Maintain knowledge management systems and documentation to support staff and partner teams.
• Contribute to development activities such as leadership training, problem-solving, and team-building. Requirements • At least nine months of experience in higher education or admissions and records operations.
• Minimum of one year of experience in customer service.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with tools such as Campus Solutions, Salesforce, and Perceptive Content.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
• Strong technical and functional skills related to admissions and academic processes.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or operational problem-solving is a plus.
• Ability to manage data entry, document review, and review processes effectively. TalentMatch®
