We're actively seeking a highly organized and meticulously detailed Administrative Assistant to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced setting. This isn't just an administrative role; you'll be the vital link ensuring seamless information flow and exceptional patient support within the Information and Dispositions Office.

What You'll Do:

You'll be the cornerstone of daily operations, expertly managing a diverse range of administrative and secretarial duties. This includes acting as a primary point of contact, handling public announcements, and professionally registering visitors. Your meticulous data entry skills will be crucial as you navigate various healthcare systems (like Avatar, CIS, and DMH data system) to maintain accurate patient files and assist with urgent emergency notifications. You'll play a direct role in patient flow, precisely reviewing and entering admission referrals, ensuring new patient packets are complete, and preparing essential materials. This even extends to providing limited direct patient care, such as escorting patients and guiding them through rights and HIPAA information. On the discharge side, your accuracy will be key in processing information, returning valuables, and documenting statuses.

A core part of your role involves meticulous data entry and retrieval within various healthcare systems (e.g., Avatar, CIS, DMH data system) to maintain accurate patient files, and assisting with urgent emergency notifications. You'll streamline patient flow by precisely reviewing and entering admission referrals, ensuring all new patient packets are complete and filed correctly. This involves screening admission documents for compliance, researching previous hospitalizations, and preparing necessary materials for wards. You'll also provide limited direct patient care during admissions, which includes escorting patients and interviewing them or their families for crucial information, while educating them on their rights and obtaining required signatures. For discharges, you'll accurately process and enter information, meticulously re-inventory and return patient valuables, and precisely document elopement statuses.
