Job Title: Operations Assistant
Summary
Responsible for comprehensive operational support in an oil and petroleum service environment, focusing on coordination, data management, customer service, and administrative tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Receive and process client orders (written/verbal)
- Create and maintain job files
- Prepare job orders and laboratory instructions
- Ensure operational compliance with company policies and industry standards
Data Management
- Perform high-volume data entry into client systems
- Accurately input and update sample records
- Resolve customer discrepancies
Customer Service
- Provide responsive customer support
- Understand and exceed customer requirements
- Foster customer confidence
- Route and manage communication channels
Quality and Safety
- Maintain company standards for safety
- Implement corrective/preventive actions
- Enforce quality and safety policies
- Support continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- 3+ years of inspection-related experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse documentation
- Basic mathematical skills
- Proficiency in data entry and administrative systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Work in environments with potential exposure to mechanical parts and chemicals
