Responsibilities:

Provides climate for staff in which they can seek feedback, voice concerns or receive information. Counsels staff and takes appropriate actions. Keeps administration informed of activities and problems. Acts as a liaison with medical staff to coordinate patient care. Serves as a clinical resource to staff, other hospital areas, students and families. Supervises multi-position employees in order to contribute to the overall goals of the hospital. Maintains a safe, clean and organized environment for staff and patients. Initiates exposure management as directed/indicated by employee/occupational health. Updates BARTT system as required by state. Completes required calls/documentation of patient deaths Maintains interpreter log. Supports interpreter requests. Performs all other duties as they relate to this position.

 

 

Qualifications:

Five (5) or more years of previous experience in nursing with at least 2 years in charge nurse role.
