Administrative Specialist (CL2)- YourPace Admissions (Part-Time)- REMOTE

The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) Administrative Specialist (CL2)- YourPace Admissions. This position will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that provides proactive, student-centered support to adult graduate and undergraduate competency-based education (YourPace) prospects and applicants. This position is primarily responsible for processing submitted applications and supporting documentation, and matriculating students who wish to move to enrollment. This position works closely with all members of the UMPI YourPace Admissions team.
Initial training and onboarding for this position must occur during the hours of 8:00-4:30 (EST). Once trained, the work schedule will be determined in consultation with the Vice President of Enrollment Services and the Director of YourPace Admissions.
This role is primarily remote and may required occasional travel to the UMPI campus for training and other events.
This position is designated as an essential position requiring the individual to be able to work remotely during periods of inclement weather and/or campus emergencies.
The starting rate for this part-time position is $19.61 (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee within the ACSUM collective bargaining unit. In addition, the University will contribute up to a 4% matching contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and sufficient experience.
+ Two years administrative support experience.
+ Skills & Competencies:
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
+ Proficiency in using multiple software applications simultaneously, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and communication tools (e.g., Zoom).
+ Admissions experience and experience working in Salesforce, MaineStreet and ImageNow.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an Associate’s degree with equivalent, relevant experience in admissions, student services, customer service, sales, or related fields
Technology Requirements:
+ Stable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps; hotspots are not acceptable).
+ Completion of a Remote Work Agreement Form.
