This vacancy is located in the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) of the Office of Louisiana State Police.

FUNCTION OF WORK:
This position assists a State Police Lieutenant by aiding in the HMEP Grant's facilitation and expectations, as well as fiscal management/procurement duties related to the grant. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting with coordinating program information, procurement, purchasing, developing and reviewing specifications for emergency response equipment for training, and ensuring that all stock items are accounted for in accordance with all applicable Departmental and State policy, procedure, regulation and/or law. Filling this position will permit ESU to continue accomplishing our objective of effectively serving the citizens to resolve hazardous materials incidents for the State of Louisiana.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Assist with yearly HMEP grant application duties to include; submission of yearly grant application, monthly claim reimbursements, tracking of grant expenditures, grant closeout reports, activity request submissions, desk reviews and audit meetings.
+ Assist with managing all Contracts and Memorandum of Understandings involving our local, state and federal training partners involved with the HMEP grant. Perform annual review to ensure compliance and make recommendations for revisions.
+ Review employee payroll submissions and entries in the LaGov system to ensure accuracy and accountability with the HMEP grant.
+ Ensures that the monthly and timely reconciliation of HMEP funds is performed.
+ Maintain comprehensive record of financial information for expenditures including, but not limited to, professional services contacts, equipment, operating services and accountability of each.
+ Provide other related duties as assigned by the HMTP Grant Program Manager, ESU Executive Officer or Commander.
