The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.

This position is in the Office of Management and Finance Health Standards Section (HSS) which is Louisiana’s healthcare regulatory section responsible for the statewide management of licensing and certification of all healthcare agencies.
The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong organization skills and multitasking. Also, this candidate should have a strong communication and interpersonal customer skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Responsible for processing and handling all administrative duties required for the licensing and certification of long-term care and non-long term care programs within the HSS.
+ As the front-line contact for the program desk, this employee is responsible to have a detailed working knowledge of the specifics of the program, all available resources associated to the program, possesses the ability to provide information about the licensing and certification process for the program, and serves as the initial point of contact for the program.
+ Prioritizing and processing these tasks must be performed daily. This requires using the information obtained and processing according to all established state and federal regulatory requirements utilizing an immense knowledge base of the program and processes to ensure compliance and completeness.
+ Compiles information for special reports. Gathers information and compiles monthly reports. Maintain all directories of all providers current and up to date.
