Administrative Officer

Airswift is looking for an Administrative Officer to work on a permanent contract in Guyana with a large company specializing in engineering, procurement and construction solutions.
This role is crucial for ensuring that administrative activities run smoothly at the Plant on a daily and long-term basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Office Supplies: Ensure office supplies are maintained, including checking inventory and working with vendors to ensure adequate levels of necessary supplies at all times. Organize Records: Maintain and update company databases, organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents. Coordinate Schedules: Arrange meetings, distribute memos and reports, and ensure everyone is kept current on necessary company news and information. Handle Inquiries: Greet and direct visitors, answer phone inquiries, and handle complaints in a courteous, professional manner. Prepare Reports: Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budgets, and assist in the preparation of presentations with statistical data. Support Staff: Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office, including booking meeting rooms and arranging travel and accommodations. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Proven work experience as a managing director, administrator or similar role
Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
Academic background: High school diploma; additional qualifications in office administration are an advantage.
Technical proficiency: Experience with office management software such as MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).
