Our client, a biotech company in Lexington, is seeking a part-time Administrative & Events Coordinator to provide office support, visitor management, and event coordination. The position offers $25/hour, 10-20 hours per week, and it slated to go through mid-2026, with potential to convert permanent. The role is fully on-site (with occasional off-site event responsibilities) and includes free parking. Hours are flexible within Monday-Friday, with some adjustments based on event scheduling.
Responsibilities:
Maintain office organization, supplies, and kitchen essentialsManage recurring grocery orders, mail distribution, and office vendor relationshipsProvide administrative support including catering, meeting setup, and receipt trackingAssist with guest greetings, particularly for executive visitorsPlan and coordinate office events, social gatherings, and seasonal activitiesAct as liaison with vendors, manage contracts, and oversee event logisticsSupport with company swag orders and event photo capturing
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a smaller biotech or startup environmentStrong organizational, multitasking, and communication skillsExperience in office coordination; event planning background a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with digital toolsProfessional, proactive, and able to work independentlyPersonable and mature, comfortable interacting with executives and board membersAbility to lift light supplies for restocking and event setup
