The incumbent will perform a variety of advanced administrative support functions as the main receptionist for CPRA. Much of the work requires independent judgement and a relatively high level of discretion. An ideal candidate will possess the following core competencies: + Accepting Direction: The ability to accept and follow directions from those higher in the chain of command. + Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas. + Making Accurate Judgments: The ability to form an opinion objectively and decisively based on relevant information and in accordance with established standards. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Serves as the main receptionist for CPRA + Answers all incoming calls + Receives all visitors + Prepares all work orders for any issues/repairs within the building + Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing mail + Receives, stores and distributes supplies + Prepares and submits payroll records for CPRA security detail and students + Ensures all invoices are date-stamped upon receipt and routed for processing + Handles receipt of all sealed bids, RFP’s and RSIQ’s + Provides support on special projects + Supervises and maintains and manages all students to ensure availability of students for requested errands Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment* Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday Office Location: 150 Terrace Ave Baton Rouge, LA 70802 * If filled as a Job Appointment, there is a possibility that this position may later be converted to a Probational Appointment should funding become available.
