Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Communicates directly as necessary with Firestone shipping department for the management, shipment and storage of all Firestone inventory located at City Docks warehouses; + Prepares all documentation and the scanning of all Firestone inventory loaded and unloaded to/from railcars, trucks and containers for domestic and international shipment; + Monitors the loading and unloading of cargo to and from trucks, containers and rail cars to ensure the highest level of detail and conformance with the Firestone Standards for Off-Site Warehouses agreement; + Serves as alternate to the Administrative Program Specialist A in the Traffic / Operations Department by accepting berth applications and assigning vessels to wharves and sheds in accordance with needs (e.g. type of cargo to be loaded or unloaded, handling equipment and labor storage requirements, available space, in accordance with any special agreements and in conformity with applicable District, state and federal regulations) Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group.
