Job Title Administrative Associate I Agency Texas A&M University Department Biology Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Here’s a Glimpse of the Job The Administrative Associate I is responsible for performing general office support duties by assisting students, faculty, and staff with daily inquiries and instructional needs. This role manages course materials and exam logistics, including ordering supplies, coordinating disability services exams, and maintaining records and databases. The position also supports administrative projects, helps maintain office procedure manuals and training resources, and ensures smooth scheduling and communication across the program. Opportunities to Contribute + Answers phone calls and assists walk-in students, faculty, staff, and other visitors with inquiries and support needs. + Accepts late homework and reschedules students into makeup labs, while assisting teaching assistants with office materials and equipment to support instructional needs. + Receives orders, coordinates disability services exams, and assists with public inquiries. + Assists with ordering and receiving course materials, maintaining databases and records for the Introductory Biology Program, and managing exam-related tasks such as copying, scantron processing, MARS coordination, and record retention. + Works with staff to maintain office procedures manual, regulations, T.A. training handbooks, and related information. + Supports the Senior Office Associate, Associate Director, Technical Lab Coordinator, and faculty with administrative projects, reports, databases, scheduling, and related subjects. Qualifications + High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience. + One year of experience in general office or clerical work. + Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs. + Interpersonal skills. + Keyboarding skills. + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess: + More than one year of experience in general office or clerical work. + Adobe photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
