Description
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Front Office Administrative Assistant to join our Contact Lens clinic in Westwood with the Department of Ophthalmology. This role is an essential part of creating a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Managing patient check-in and check-out processes
+ Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
+ Preparing and updating patient charts
+ Answering and directing phone calls
+ Processing and collecting patient payments
+ Processing insurances, authorizations, referrals
Salary Range: $26.42-37.49 Hourly
Qualifications
Required:
+ One year of experience working in a medical practice.
+ Familiarity with current patient billing practices.
+ Interactional skills sufficient to promote comfortable and effective communications with patients, doctors and staff.
+ Ability to maintain professionalism with all patients including patients with challenging personalities.
+ Ability to prioritize job responsibilities.
+ Ability to respond quickly and calmly to urgent requests by faculty.
Preferred:
+ Working knowledge of Ophthalmic terminology.
