Description of Job Serves as the main point of contact at the CentreTech Campus for serving students at the front counter. Oversees the coordination of the Financial Aid Office front coverage by creating schedule to manage coverage. In addition, answer incoming Financial Aid Office emails, and provide both general and specific financial aid information to current and prospective students, and their families. Also, via staff specific telephone and email; clarifying financial aid policies and procedures and accessing computer information on the student file. Interviews, hires, trains, and supervises student employee staff for the Financial Aid Office. Obtains student employee class schedule and work schedule to determine coverage & availability to create master schedule to ensure proper coverage for the Financial Aid front desk. Trains student employees so that student employees are confident and comfortable in understanding financial aid regulations & policies to review student files to assist students and prospective students who come in or email the Financial Aid Office. Assists the Director and/or Assistant Director with special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Daily interaction with students, faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy is a must.
