Trane has a new exciting opportunity to join our organization as an Administrative Assistant in our Roanoke, Virginia office. Under moderate supervision, this position handles the day-to-day details and keeps the entire workplace running smoothly. This position is required to closely interact with local leadership, coworkers, and vendors to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
What you will do:
• Greet visitors, employees, and guests and direct them to the appropriate contacts
• Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and emails
• Maintain reception area appearance and ensure a welcoming environment
• Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference room reservations
• Prepare documents, correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed
• Support day to day operation by setting up vendors, assist with vendor payment
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
• Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and maintaining databases
• Coordinate office supplies, ordering, and inventory management
• Provide administrative support for company events
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Perform general clerical tasks
What you will bring:
High School diploma or GED and up to two (2) years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
