This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. Under general supervision of the Deans of Business & Public Service Technology Division, the Administrative Assistant I - BPST (Full-Time) provides comprehensive administrative support to the unit and serves as a liaison between the divisions and other departments within the college plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of both divisions through effective coordination, communication, and data management in a fast-paced, collaborative academic environment. The Administrative Assistant I job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following: · Provide administrative support to divisional leadership, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. · Serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and external partners; respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and excellent customer service. · Prepare and manage documents such as reports, memos, and educational materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with college standards. · Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking follow-up action items. · Maintain and update divisional databases related to student records, course schedules, and faculty assignments; ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and proper documentation. · Assist with the coordination and execution of special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Division Deans. · Perform additional duties as assigned. Competencies: · Knowledge of TCSG rules, policies, and procedures. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management systems, and educational technology or related software programs. · Strong oral and written communication skills. · Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills. · Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. · Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities. · Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. · Commitment to providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Mini mum Qualifications: Must possess and demonstrate a High school diploma or equivalent AND Six (6) months of related work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate an Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Education, or a related field; and at least Two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
