Administrative Assistant - Culinary

The Role:

As the Culinary Admin Assistant, you will support the Kitchen team in all aspects of their administrative duties and report directly to the Executive Chef. The ideal candidate will have great passion for service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as your professional approach and advanced coordination skills will be your recipe for success.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous administrative experience who has a culinary or hospitality background. Where no two days are the same, this role offers great cross exposure and opportunity to grow in various roles within the hotel.

Duties Responsibilities will include:

Support all kitchen outlets and provide day-to-day support as delegated by the Executive Chef.

Maintain and create departmental databases, record systems, recipe cards and filing systems.

Ensure compliance with HACCP and hygiene standards for hotel operations

Oversee the management of incoming emails, phone calls and customer complaints

Help oversee the recruitment and training activity over all outlets

Promote full communication in the outlets to ensure that all staff is fully aware of upcoming bookings, events, activities, special functions and food and beverage happenings.

Assist the Kitchen leadership team to ensure roster and payroll are accurately managed.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

Prior experience in the hotel or hospitality industry - highly regarded

A passion for providing quality experiences for guests and clients

Administrative experience - highly advantageous

Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and Work Health Safety standards -desirable

Having an understanding of roster systems and maintaining accurate payroll/time and attendance records.

Strong time management and organisational skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
