Job Title: Human Resource Assistant
Job Description
The Human Resource Assistant supports the attendance management team by performing a wide range of administrative and HR-related tasks. This role focuses on accurate document handling, data entry, attendance auditing, and assisting with HR investigations, while working closely with the broader HR team. It is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level HR professional to gain hands-on experience in a structured, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Perform and provide Human Resource support and administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, data entry, and uploading documents into various computer systems and HR software.Work closely and collaboratively with members of the HR team leadership to support attendance management processes.Support the team with setting up HR investigations from an administrative perspective, including organizing documentation and schedules.Join HR analysts in investigations related to harassment, violence, and unprofessional conduct as experience grows.Gather information and allegations for investigations, guide the development of interview questions, and organize findings in spreadsheets.Audit payroll coding and onsite days, conduct corrective audits, and confirm findings with group leaders.Call and consult with management on how to handle attendance-related situations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Assist operational teams and shops in understanding and applying attendance-related policies and regulations.Process PFS forms for 5-day letters and initiate the AWOL (Absent Without Leave) process as required.Process PFS forms for written reminder requests related to attendance issues.Audit expired corrective actions on a monthly basis to ensure records remain accurate and current.Audit qualifier exceptions, patterns of absence exceptions, corrective action exceptions, and coding review exceptions.Respond to attendance-related inquiries from employees and leaders in a timely and professional manner.Conduct 5-day attendance audits every week and report findings to the appropriate stakeholders.Process terminations related to team members being AWOL, ensuring documentation and procedures are followed.Assist HR investigators in developing interview questions, compiling data, and preparing closure letters for investigations.Perform Excel-based data analysis to support attendance management programs and reporting needs.Essential Skills
Previous experience in Human Resources or HR administration.Experience working with HRIS systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and other standard office applications.Strong administrative skills with experience in data entry and document management.Ability to analyze data in Excel to support attendance management and reporting.Customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally to inquiries.Ability to work with confidential HR information with discretion and accuracy.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS platform.Previous experience in attendance management or policy administration.Experience providing administrative support in an HR or corporate environment.Interest in or exposure to HR investigations and performance management processes.This role is well-suited for recent HR graduates seeking entry-level experience in a large, structured organization.Ability to work effectively in a close-knit team and collaborate across multiple locations.Work Environment
The Human Resource Assistant works as part of the Policy Development and Performance Management (PDPM) team, taking responsibility for attendance management activities across three plants to help streamline processes. The position is based onsite in Cambridge, working 5 days per week for a total of 40 hours. The role operates in a combined office and manufacturing environment, requiring comfort with both corporate office settings and proximity to production areas. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, support, and professional development, with a close-knit department that provides guidance and mentorship. The organization uses HRIS systems, Workday, Microsoft Office, and Excel as core tools, and offers the opportunity to gain experience in a large global company where similar roles have previously transitioned to permanent positions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.61 - $25.00/hr.
